Lying to Congress is a Federal Crime

The FBI must examine the veracity of Kavanaugh’s statements under oath in addition to the sexual assault allegations against him. Kavanaugh's truthfulness with the Senate goes to the very heart of whether he should be confirmed to the court.

The criminal investigation will start up too, so if any lie to the FBI its criminal then , their worst nightmare is coming at them now because they either lie, or tell the truth and face criminal actions against themselves. They will know the whole truth ,so if any of them lie , or say I don't remember when they know they do , they'll be facing charges. By him not withdrawing his nomination he could face losing his present position, and face criminal charges. Is he really that stupid?
