Both Jim Jordan And Roy Moore Vouch For Brett Kavanaugh's Character
Rep. Jim Jordan and former Senate candidate Roy Moore both faced allegations related to sexual misconduct.
Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh counts among his supporters two Republicans who also found themselves on the receiving end of sexual misconduct-related allegations: Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, who was accused by former Ohio State University wrestlers he coached of turning a blind eye to sexual abuse, and former Senate candidate Roy Moore, who was credibly accused by several women of inappropriate sexual contact while they were minors.
Moore recently told One America News Network that Democrats are now using sexual misconduct allegations as a tactic to derail Republican candidates now against Kavanaugh as they did during his own campaign for the Senate.
I think they dont care about transparency, they just use it because its effective, he told ONN. They know that on the one hand, you offend women if you believe somebody that says they werent guilty of sexual misconduct. On the other hand, if you dont believe them, youre condemning the person accused of guilt to prove his own innocence. Its a Catch-22.
Jordan, who was not accused of sexual misconduct himself but of ignoring abuse allegations, believes Kavanaugh is a good man who deserves a seat on Americas highest court.
