Flake, Collins & Murkowski said they expect her to be spoken to and if that part of the "investigation" is missing I am hoping they vote no based in the investigation being bogus. Heck, at this point if the FBI does speak to her you know they aren't going to do much of a job following up any leads she may give them.

(78 posts)Why do you think Swetnick should not be interviewed? I've been monitoring the news coverage and it seems like her case is being looked at as less credible.
Here is a simple test when considering Swetnick's allegations.....is she accusing
Choir Boy Brett..or...Drunken Jock/Frat Boy Brett

(9,874 posts)and Murkowski, Collins and Flake think so too, so if they don't talk to her it may piss them off. At this point I think that would be better than some kind of weak, half hearted "investigation".

(9,874 posts)I have no idea why, but if it pisses off Flake et als then fine.

(9,897 posts)Isn't Swetnick's major allegation substantiation of the fact Kavanaugh is a perjurer more than anything else?
She is not claiming HE raped her...just that he was present at parties like the one she says she was raped at.
She is not claiming she SAW him rape anyone, but she is claiming that she saw him at the kind of parties where that happened.
He claimed to have never even been at such a party...so, her credibility is really tied to the number of witnesses that corroborate the same things:
1) those kind of rape parties DID happen
2) Kavanaugh was seen at such parties by Swetnick and other witnesses
The issue to me is not the sex or drugs or parties or even rape culture (although putting Kavanaugh in that culture and proving him a liar absolutely lends added credibility to Dr. Ford's already compelling story), it's the lying and in essence the perjury.
