Friend Rejects Claim That Blasey Ford Coached Her On Taking Polygraph Test

Monica McLean has denied professor Christine Blasey Ford’s ex-boyfriend’s claim that she was coached by Blasey Ford, her friend, before she took a polygraph test years ago.

The ex-boyfriend’s claim (he has chosen to remain anonymous) was cited in Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) Tuesday letter demanding more evidence from Blasey Ford’s lawyers.

“I have never had Christine Blasey Ford, or anybody else, prepare me, or provide any other type of assistance whatsoever in connection with any polygraph exam I have taken at anytime,” McLean said in a statement, according to the Wall Street Journal.

McLean was not identified in the ex-boyfriend’s letter, but Blasey Ford’s lawyers reportedly confirmed that she is the friend in question.

During her testimony before the committee, Blasey Ford said that she had never given anyone “tips” or “advice” on how to take a polygraph test.

I found it utterly bizarre that Ford was asked whether she received or gave tips on how to take a polygraph. How could it be of any relevance if she gave tips to someone else, how would they even come up with something like that? It seems that the Repubs had the boyfriend's claim at that time already.

I can't believe he thought he could remain anonymous with all the details he gave.
