We see these depressing reports about uptick in Republican enthusiasm. But how many of those enthusiastic Repubs are there compare to enthusiastic Dems???

(3,243 posts)We go to the homes of registered Democrats to ask if they will indeed be voting democrat this coming election. Of the homes I visited, 100% of those identifying as democrats were very anxious to vote, and to vote only for Democrats. Mind you I just started, and have only been to 60 homes so far, but it has been a very positive response, especially for senate and house candidates.

(13,783 posts)I live near Toledo Ohio. In the city it's blue. In the suburbs it's more red. I saw a lot of Trump signs during 2016 in the area I'm canvassing in.
One funny story: There was a house on the list that had a truck in the driveway with a "Hillary for prison" bumper sticker on it. I actually thought of skipping that house. But it turned out to have one very solid Democrat living there, and she was very strong on voting out any Republican she could. You never know.

Can't blame them. Progress under both parties has been next to nil.

(129,053 posts)We (as blacks) know better about the bullshit of the GOP then to somehow start equivocating about "establishment" vs some fictional purity party Democrat crap. Black women in particular vote 95+% for ANY Democrat.
The problem is in the white community, who is not as impacted by the draconian polices of the GOP as minorities are.
