as a reminder - "passing" prior background checks does not mean Kavanaugh was in the clear

just that whatever came up in the background check was not worth disqualifying Kavanaugh over. (Previous decision makers were Ken Starr and George W Bush...)

Not surprised. As I stated previously, "passing" prior background checks doesn't mean there was no derogatory information found, just that previous decision makers did not find them disqualifying.
