I'm deeply touched by McConnell's insistence on transparency, and agree the only way to manifest that value here is to have senators sequentially by birthday go up in a hot air balloon to briefly see the FBI report sky-written by a drone behind cloud cover

Tweet includes link to nbc article detailing who gets to read the FBI report and where, which I'll post in the first reply.

(101,320 posts)and they're telling the Democratic senators they can't say anything about why that's not true. The electors of the Republican senators won't have any chance to see if their representatives are either lying, or taking a completely unreasonable view of the evidence.
It may as well not have happened. It's only up to the Republican senators' personal conscience. Which, evidence shows, doesn't exist.

(22,130 posts)if it supposedly vindicates Kav, why not release? My fear is that what's leaked may not be the actual thing/report but a fake. Wouldn't surprise me w/ rump and cronies.

(1,975 posts)The information in the background investigation file is not marked top secret or classified, but it is not to be leaked or even characterized. Senators are "not allowed to share any details whatsoever," a committee aide said.
Gotta love the transparency.
