House Rating Changes: Eight More GOP Seats Move Towards Democrats (Cook Political Report)

David Wasserman October 3, 2018

Five weeks out, several personally popular Republicans who appeared to be defying the "blue wave" in Clinton-won districts are beginning to see their leads erode. GOP Reps. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26), John Katko (NY-24) and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) led most surveys over the summer but are now prime targets as their well-funded Democratic challengers become better-known and the Kavanaugh debate further polarizes voters into red and blue corners.

It's becoming harder and harder to see Republicans' path to holding the majority. In the past few days, multiple Democrats challengers have announced staggering fundraising totals of more than $3 million during the third quarter of the year, exceeding what many predecessors have raised for an entire cycle. One high-ranking Republican worries his party could be "buried under an avalanche" of Democratic money that GOP outside groups can't match.

Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the GOP's 'brand' UTTERLY TANKING among every single citizen with 2 functional brain cells they might rub together ... not at ALL due their utter ASSHOLISHNESS, or the PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, CRIMINAL, AND NARCISSIST ... that they saw fit to nominate for POTUS (oh, and continue to support despite all evidence that he is 100% UNFIT TO LEAD our great Nation)?!?

NAAAAAWWWW ... it's just all the $$$ that's suspiciously pouring in to Democrats coffers ... I mean, probably every penny really came from Soros anyway!

And the GOP candidates just 'can't match it' cause they're all so, like, uber-ethical ... so they're sadly at a disadvantage, you know, cause they'd never just take million$ from the Koch$, or any shit like that!

country has seen through their act. No more. Now that we have seen these guys in action (the repug controlled Congress and rump), we see their fake claims of how bad the federal debt is, when they climbed on top of it and added to it (the debt) massively w/ their donor-tailored 2018 Tax cut and jobs bill.

We also seen how partisan they truly are. Party first, and then maybe country later.

Hypocrites.
