Traitor Mitch adhered to our enemies, giving them aid and comfort, when he refused to issue a bipartisan warning about Russian interference in the 2016 national election, and threatened to issue a partisan warning against those who discovered the interference.

I can't listen to his voice without remembering that his "number ONE legislative priority" in 2008 was to make Obama a one-term president. Every time I hear Cheetohlini or any repube accuse the Dems of being obstructionists I just want to scream and kick Mitch's teeth in.

Pretty much how so many big powers throughout world history have given way — they eventually soften in the center, and finally collapse inward from their own greed and corruption. That includes every culture from Egyptian to Mayan to Greek to Roman, to colonial European nations and the old Soviet Union.

On edit: Given the present circumstances, such an internal, slow meltdown could easily happen here.
