That has me smiling. The more than 100,000 churches represented by the National Council of Churches belong to 38 Christian faith groups, including evangelical, and are attended by 40 million Americans. Every little bit helps.

and house seats that are tossups move to lean Dem and seats that lean Dem to safe Dem. I wouldn't put to much stock in this one poll. Republicans probably are getting a little bit more enthusiastic because we are getting closer to the election that just the natural order of things, but not anything that should freak us out.

I keep seeing this angle: Trump Approval Rating Goes Up, yet his negatives and disapproval remain in the 50s. This is nothing but the “liberal media” trying hard to once again have a horse race. I guarantee they’ll say it a 50-50 race by the beginning of November. EVERY race since the Bush theft, and the elimination of network exit polling, has been a toss-up right up until Election Day.

What have we heard from Chuck Schumer? Does he ever open his mouth? If the dems do not begin to fight harder and we lose the house I will give up, I will never give another dime to politicians. I hope Flake does not let us down, also the senator from Alaska.
Susan Collins is so wishey washey she cabbot be counted on.

What can Schumer do when he is the MINORITY Leader? He doesn't control the schedule. Fucking people sat home in 2014 and ran away from Obama (including here on DU with rampant ODS) and we lost the Senate. Alison Grimes ran away from Obama in KY and lost to Turtle.

You need to watch CSPAN2 and look at his twitter feed.

Party ID shows Republicans behind both Dems and Independents.

Indys lead at 34%
Dems at 33%
GOP at 31%

The Republicans might be getting more enthusiastic, but there are fewer of them now. Trump is heavily underwater with Dems and 14 pts under among Indys.

Thu Oct 4, 2018, 07:50 AM
Oct 2018

South 38%
West 23%
Midwest 21%
Northeast 18%

The south is the republican base so if this poll were more evenly spread across the regions Democrats and independents would have an even bigger spread over republicans.

Did they define the states that comstituted each region? I just skimmed the methodology memo.

A false parameter. They were all going to vote and vote R. The whole idea of "enthusiasm" is silly for that voting bloc.
