Unfortunately because of this stunt, and other recent stunts, the FBI will continue to lose credibility. Neither Democrats nor Republicans will see the FBI as much more than a partisan weapon to be used, or not used, at the whim of the President.

Destroying public confidence in the FBI and Justice Department will further erode our system of government.

Because then they'd have to interview Kavanaugh and he'd have to lie to the FBI which would be too big of a threat for impeachment ...
