They sent an envelope with a sticker, begging for money in a prepaid envelope. Hubby is a fisherman. I guess they got his info from state licensing.
I'm thinking of writing "TRAITORS" on the donation card, and maybe "We don't have any rubles for you" or "move to Russia". Suggestions?

(12,155 posts)I'm tempted to do what I used to do with credit card solicitations and send them my printer test pages, other companies' junk mail, etc. But there's a bar code on the envelope, and frankly, I'm paranoid about getting put on a watch list in today's environment. So I just shred them.
I have no idea why they think I'm a likely donor. There's nothing in the list of magazines I subscribe to, or my zip code, or anything else to make them think I'm ripe for the plucking. Oh well, it's work for the post office....

(32,639 posts)FYI most prepaid envelopes that have been addressed to a P.O. Box actually go to a bank somewhere.
Only the bank employees will see whatever you send to that address.
So take Sharon Clark's advice and change the address to the Corporate Headquarters address of the NRA.
I believe it's in Fairfax Virginia.
