Jerry Nadler will be the Chairman and have the gavel on The House Judiciary Committee.
Expect the subpoenas to fly.

There will be hearings held about this entire Kavanaugh debacle. The witnesses called to testify will include those in the White House and also FBI agents will be questioned whether they were restricted to the number of people that they were allowed to question by White House directive.

There's going to be microscopes up a lot of people's asses.

Unfortunately though, Kavanaugh, if confirmed, will be difficult to impeach. I think, but I'm not certain, that it would require 2/3rds of the Senate to do it.

Meanwhile, in another Committee room, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) will be the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
Expect the subpoenas to be coming out in wheelbarrows and there's nothing Devin Nunes (Traitor-CA) can do about it.

someone like Amy Barrett AND push through her nomination during the Lame Duck period after Nov 6th, on the expectation that there is NOTHING McConnell will not stoop to. They will still get their anti-abortion majority regardless.

It's disgusting that Kavanaugh but if the Republicans push him onto the SC, there might be an upside in Dems winning back the Senate on the back of it, and then launching a full investigation of what went on here. Even if he is not driven from the SC, his reputation can be utterly destroyed, and that can be a reflection on Roberts, but if he was so destroyed, maybe it might open the opportunity to add 2 more Justices ?
