(6,377 posts)A month is an eternity in politics. Whatever bump the Republicans get from confirming Kavanaugh will likely run its course within a few weeks. But the Democratic and independent voter anger over it will remain, because anger is one of the strongest emotions that drives people to the polls. It's how Republicans won so many seats from 2009-16.

Thankfully, they are more evil than smart.
I agree it's hard to imagine the high lasting a month, and there's at least two more Trump fuckups coming before then.

My prediction is that we will all be fighting over something else at least a couple of times in the next few weeks. Trump has a knack for changing the subject, and I fully expect him to do that again. At least twice.
