Let's face it. Without a majority there is very little they can do to stop it, but I believe they maximized their efforts and demonstrated that they will fight for a just cause. And they are not done. They have taken it thisclose.

(9,874 posts)If Manchin/Heitkamp vote Yes with the Repubs already having the votes to confirm, they will be doing it with the Dem caucus (and my) blessing for political cover. If they vote Yes as the deciding vote(s) it would sour me on them personally, but it would not change my opinion on the efforts of the Democratic Party as a whole.
