Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), a key swing Republican vote, said that a new FBI report on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has failed to corroborate Christine Blasey Fords allegation of sexual assault against him, The Hill reports.
Flake said there was nothing at all in the FBIs supplementary background check to corroborate the claims from Ford that threw Kavanaughs nomination into turmoil starting last month.

(13,485 posts)The investigation didn't include Ford, those who backed her up or other allegations of misconduct.
The FACT remains... He's not fit to be a judge for a vast number of other reasons.
There's blood on the hands of the GOP and the administration.

(65,057 posts)They interview one or two slimy ex-preppies who say "i don't remember" and corroboration becomes impossible.
They are conducting a phantom investigation looking to prove the unprovable instead of investigating the lying under oath.

(78 posts)Keep it simple...the claims from Ford (and the other Two accusers) is that a "highly intoxicated" teenage Kavenaugh committed a sexual assault. So please ask some simple but direct questions.
1. Was there any corroboration that teenage Brett was ever seen highly intoxicated in public?
2. Was there any corroboration that young Brett ever committed a sexual assault?
Stop with the "Here is breaking news...Senator X said this....then we all chase his rabbit down the hole they chose.

(101 posts)You and other Republican Senators can still vote NO because:
1. Kavanaugh is an entitled SOB
2. Kavanaugh is a know partisan GOP operative.
3. Kavanaugh LIED REPEATEDLY UNDER OATH.
Doesn't this alone disqualify Kananaugh?

(50,273 posts)identified the house. A knock on the door and a look at the floor plan might be in order. If the same family lives there, chances are the bed is still on the right side of the room. There are investigations and then there are "investigations." I'm afraid this was the latter. Flake just wants a reason to vote "yes." Why did they even bother???

(13,783 posts)... that Kavanaugh had demonstrated himself to be totally unfit for the court. I hope you take that into account. And, BTW, isn't saying even that much counter to the rules about sharing background check info? OK for Repugs, but not Dems??????
