Did anyone really expect a different outcome? We are up against pure evil.

The opposition will lie, cheat and steal to get what they want. This is not just hyperbole, there is documented evidence of them doing all of these things. We should have realized the fix was in when they started gerrymandering districts. We are a representative Democracy, and yet the government is not an accurate representation of the people.

The problem now is that we cannot combat evil by continuing to follow the rules, because the repubs are taking advantage of the fact that Democrats are basically good and decent people. We have to realize that in order to re-establish a free and fair society, we are going to put aside the rules, just as people have always done during a time of war.

Until our side comprehends that there are times when we must be just as duplicitous as they are, we are going to continue to see defeat. Yes, we may take back the house next month, but there is no way that the ruling class and their Russian allies will let the ‘real’ power go without an epic battle. Now that they have the Supreme Court for the next 30-40 years, their job of maintaining the rich and powerful in their current position has been made far easier.

We are considered the cerebral ones, so surely our leaders can secretly come together (just as theirs did three decades ago) and brainstorm ideas to level the playing field. For example grooming potential Supreme Court nominees, the way they do – by putting promising candidates in resume building positions and ensuring that their rulings avoid controversy (or maybe even letting them rule in the conservative’s favor a few times). We could organize financial backers to give money to causes that would be beneficial in the long-term, such as supporting the development of neutrally owned voting machine companies.

Yes, we are the principled, compassionate party, but that makes no difference if we are the permanent minority.

Let them. Meanwhile, we keep investigating, keep reminding them, keep the fact that they chose someone that was not suitable, hid that fact, and dug in with him, even though they didn’t even want him. Keep the fire hot. Keep the anger over betrayal real. And vote. Scandals take quite a bit of time to unfold. We haven’t even begun to see the evil that lurks behind not only this man, but those who are hiding behind him. Let them fight to the end, with the last, best human standing. They may have won this battle, but this is war, and they just foolishly gave us ammunition. Be furious. Be hurt. Be disgusted. Be a VOTER!

They were carefully cultivated by hate radio and the megachurches.

They will never get better.

They are 1 in 3 of us.

They want theocratic fascism.

They were allowed to flourish by all those who thought it was honorable to allow such things. (ACLU, for example)
