Heitkamp sat down exclusively with WDAY News to share what she will do when the U.S. Senate votes to confirm U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Heitkamp also shared her reasoning behind her decision.

You can see her answer on Kavanaugh and part of her one-on-one interview with WDAY News reporter Kevin Wallevand in the video above.

WDAY News will also air a story with more from Heitkamp on Thursday, October 4th during its regularly scheduled newscasts.

I don't understand why everyone is saying this is so courageous of her. We should be able to assume that a Democrat should stand up to an unqualified political hack being pushed by Republicans.
That being said, I am grateful that she made such a forceful statement.
