(92,216 posts)economic collapse. Are they that dense that they have no concept about the S&L implosion, the record deficits, and everything else that occurred to bring us to our knees in 2000
I hope they enjoy their catestrophic health insurnance, along with the destruction of social security and medicare

(92,216 posts)imploded the economy, and almost drove the country into the second great depression. Not only did he save the AMERICAN AUTO INDUSTRY, but in spite of the economic disaster and jobs lost under the previous administration, and the obstruction from the republicans through all 8 years of his presidency, created jobs, that trump tried to take credit for
Ask carrier where all the jobs are that trump saved.
As far as "they don't care about "social issues"? You mean the social issues like social security and medicare.
As far as I am concerned they they are looking for a rationalization to justify why they voted for a racist, sexist, bigot, because that is the bottom line.
Next time this happens, and it will, I will remember this
Sometimes people deserve exactly what happens to them

You don't need to have a degree in economics to figure it out. When nobody goes to a store, the store closes.
Bush and Trump got too much handed to them.

(92,216 posts)is a fact. We had just come out of the worst economic implosion since the great depression
Labor was conned by Reagan in 1980, and voted against him in 1984 for the most part. Looks like the same thing will happen with trump.
I would like to think that labor has learned something from this, and while the Democratic party has made mis-steps with labor, there was always a dialog, and labor was always part of the conversation
The objective of the republican party since regan was to destroy unions. That is no secret
