This is the first time I've heard this one, which has a new spin that could be marginally more convincing than past attempts. It's a recording with a female American voice.
It goes something like this:
"This is Microsoft. I'm calling because the license key for your Microsoft computer expires today."

I had a voicemail message saying, "You can avoid prosecution by calling....". They didn't say who they were or why they were calling....Just a message to call them back to avoid prosecution.
