Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, a lifelong Republican, told a small crowd in Boca Raton that Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s performance at confirmation hearings should disqualify him. “The Senators should pay attention to this.”

1. Kav's PERFORMANCE at the hearings should disqualify him --

all by itself.

Presumably as indicative of serious character and competence deficiencies. Judicial extremists who cannot reveal what they intend to do should at least be competent liars.

2. At least he believes in the Sanctity of the court it seems.

3. Yes, and no surprise. Put on the courts in the Nixon era,

but one of those supposed Republicans whose growth into the job of interpreting our mostly liberal constitution, institutions, history and cultural traditions placed him in the "liberal" bloc judicially. I hope he lives to see us come through this safely.
