Retired Justice John Paul Stevens says NO to Kavanaugh




Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, a lifelong Republican, told a small crowd in Boca Raton that Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s performance at confirmation hearings should disqualify him. “The Senators should pay attention to this.”

Presumably as indicative of serious character and competence deficiencies. Judicial extremists who cannot reveal what they intend to do should at least be competent liars.

Thank you to Justice Stevens for this at least.

but one of those supposed Republicans whose growth into the job of interpreting our mostly liberal constitution, institutions, history and cultural traditions placed him in the "liberal" bloc judicially. I hope he lives to see us come through this safely.
