From a NYT puff piece on Kavanaugh in July: At Georgetown Prep, he'd been a "quiet leader,"

"self effacing," who "wasn't very vocal" but "led by example." He was on the football and basketball teams.

This description fits with the classmate who described him (to paraphrase) as a kind of Jekyll and Hyde figure, with a meaner, more aggressive personality while drinking.

On the other hand, Neil Gorsuch, who was two years younger, was "more extraverted." "Justice Gorsuch, a 1985 graduate, was student body president his senior year. He was on the debate team and in the forensics and international relations clubs, the school said."

I wonder if Gorsuch even likes Kavanaugh. It sounds like they would have been moving among different crowds, and Gorsuch might not appreciate the negative attention Kavanaugh has brought to his alma mater.
