Powerful Judiciary Committee Republican Waves Off Women Rape Survivors and Tells Them to 'Grow Up'

U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT), like many Republicans in the Senate today, was confronted by a group of women, including rape survivors. The women, who are trying to convince Republicans to vote against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, challenged Hatch. At 84 years old Sen. Hatch is the longest-serving Republican Senator in the history of the U.S., and as the President pro tempore of the Senate is the second-highest ranking member of the body.

For exposing the craven, emotionless, lack of empathy, uncivil way he and his ilk do things. The guy can "not believe" Ford, but to dismiss outright victims of sexual violence such as this is just pathetic. I don't know why anyone would be like this? Are they so blinded by political aspirations to have this judge planted on the court that they consider every women who comes out like this as "plants" or "political operatives?" Is he this cynical and jaded to think this? Or is it absolute misogyny, that the women folk should be seen and not heard?

My wife, who went to college between 88 and 92 recalls numerous times where frat guys were taking advantage of girls who were clearly passed out. She said certain frats on campus were known to spike punch and drink only beer themselves. The girls drank spiked punch and many passed out. She knows MANY GIRLS who were taken advantage of. The good side is she said her sorority was involved with a frat of good guys. She said if a girl ever passed out around those guys, they would either get her home, or put her somewhere to sleep. This particular frat never once took advantage of any girl, but other frats they were predators. WHAT frat would Kavanaugh likely be in?
