(51,593 posts)and the bodies stronger. There is an ongoing protest "Filibuster Kavanaugh" in DC until the final vote. People are prepared to stay and more are traveling to the area and organizing other PROTESTS as I write.

(56,828 posts)Let's say that Mitch knows it's over for Kavanaugh. Rather than drag it out for a few more days to bring Daines back and then maybe a day or two more of debate, he pushes to get the vote now knowing it's a rejection. Trump then decides to nominate somebody else in a week or two to get the GOP base re-fired up, and then McConnell tries to ram through the nominee during the lame duck session?
