it's all part of the "horse race" ratings mentality - putting huge weights on each side to get the rancor going, increase the divisions, and sit back and laugh their asses off at the "fireworks" they created.

is what helps get those people into office. They did it with the unindicted co-conspirator, and now it seems they are doing it with Bart.

I'm happy to hear they are telling the truth about Bart, but I wish they had been doing it all along.

They always have friendly exchanges and interviews with him. In my opinion, they all genuinely like each other.

Today, Mika with a very sober face, looked straight into the camera and said, "Come on Joe".

What was the narrative for the past week or 2, from all of cable news? The narrative was that because Heidi Heitkamp may vote against Kavanaugh she dropped 10 points in the polls. I laughed when I saw that poll and I knew that no way was she 10 points behind. So what happened since Heidi confirmed that she is a no vote? Have you seen any reporting in the corporate media? I guess I will have to report it. Her web site crashed from so many positive posts and her fund raising went through the roof.

It's not about networks making money, that's secondary, it's about maintaining the right wing narrative. There are a few cable news anchors who stray from the narrative, for sanity I watch Nicole Wallace, Chris Hayes, Rachel, Don Lemon, and once in a blue moon Shep Smith. Remember though, if they stray too far they get canned.

When she said she would vote no. Her integrity went through the roof!

I turned off Joe when he said Kennedy would be on, now the pompous Evangelical is on CNN.

If, gawd forbid, BMK makes it onto SCOTUS and he has a temper tantrum like he did during his hearing, what the hell happens then? Will he get impeached, do Betty Ford rehab, what?

I was married to an alcoholic many years ago -- in the 1970s. Brett Kavanaugh has all the signs of being a black out drunk. The psyche fills in blanks for someone who is in a black out from drinking. That is the way the mind protects itself. When the black out drinker is confronted with something bad that happened during a black out, he or she is angry because they believe the person confronting them is lying and trying to harm them. They simply do not remember and often, like Kavanaugh, they get belligerent and angry.
