Democrats don't vote like we should, we read the polls, see that we are way in front and then find something more important to do, like sit on the back porch with a beer rather than vote. This Kavanaugh thing has someone energized the Republican base. Trump has turned men in the victims, making them feel everyone, especially women, are after them.

The big "polling news" was that "Voter Enthusiasm" (whatever that's supposed to mean) was up among R voters.

Thing is, the only reason why they achieved the current power is that R's already go vote in very high proportions.

Their enthusiasm went up so they would go do what they were already going to do. And that was a meaningful statistic, how?

There was no polling evidence, other than this unscientific piece of claptrap, that things has shifted away from D's.
