Collins to advance Kavanaugh's nomination

The Supreme Court nominee needs one more vote to advance to a final roll call vote.

UPDATE 10:28 a.m.:

Sen. Susan Collins will vote to advance Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court on Friday morning, she told reporters. She will announce later today her decision on his final confirmation vote set for Saturday, she said.

Kavanaugh needs one more vote to advance to a final roll call vote.

“I voted yes before I voted no” can be her twisted tactic. If she’ll put the cloture yes vote “in her pocket”, then she’ll be able to vote no during the final vote.
