Trump mocks Al Franken over resignation: He folded 'like a wet rag'

President Trump mocked former Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.) at a campaign rally in Minnesota Thursday for resigning following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

"That guy was wacky. Boy did he fold up like a wet rag, huh?" Trump said at a rally in Rochester in Franken's home state.

"He was gone so fast, I don't want to mention Al Franken's name, he was gone so fast," he added.

Franken, who was previously considered a potential 2020 presidential candidate, was accused by eight women of sexual misconduct.

Franken announced his resignation in December after facing intense pressure from others within the Democratic caucus.

Franken railed on the Senate floor that some accusations of sexual misconduct against him were not true, while others he remembered differently. He maintained he had done nothing to bring "dishonor" to the Senate since joining the body in 2009 and expressed confidence that an ethics panel would have cleared him.

Which is why Kavanaugh was instructed to be belligerent. Audience of one.

If they hadn't, and we had had Al Franken's voice in the Senate this whole time, it is a given that Kavanawful would have had a far harder time in the US Senate then what he got so far.

He saw that a mob was coming after him with torches and pitchforks. I'll never forget, and I'll NEVER forgive.

You're literally making things up. Multiple of Franken's accusers told people contemporaneously that he groped them. That's the same as Deborah Ramirez and more than Christine Blasey Ford. There's no physical evidence in any of the cases. Only personal accounts of victim statements.

Franken himself apologized for mistreating women. What was he in on the conspiracy against himself?

It's not believe victims unless you really like the guy. Victims don't lie. It's amazing to see people here doing the exact same thing as Republicans are doing to Kavanaugh's accusers.

Franken never should have resigned, and the Dems that quickly lined up to toss him under the bus acted foolishly.

As much as you or I may hate him, he represents the United States. It also looks like the Republican Senate has become boldened by him as well.

November can't get here fast enough, so we can start unfucking Trump.

Only Trump's assholishness is what trickles down - it trickles down to the Senate, Congress, the NRA, Fox News, and his brain dead supporters.
