House Dems promise to investigate Kavanaugh for perjury, if confirmed

Dozens of members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus sent a letter Thursday to President Donald Trump committing to leverage subpoena power in an effort to investigate the full record of Kavanaugh’s time in the White House for evidence of perjury. House Democrats will have subpoena power if they retake the lower chamber in the midterm elections, and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, who will likely chair the House Judiciary Committee should that happen, has already promised to investigate any credible allegations of perjury if Kavanaugh is confirmed. Nadler did not sign the letter.

I hope this takes place and I hope it makes a difference - if it is needed.

the dregs, decent intelligent people do not associate with them. If Flake is really considering running for the WH, he just flamed out. Deciding to hitch his wagon to the gop dregs is a surefire way to ruin any chance he has of being president. We know Graham is after Sessions job, which explains his tantrums to impress tRump. Do these guys really think supporting a sexual predator, lying drunk is the way to get votes? They seriously underestimate the wrath of the female citizens, plus many males.

It is one thing to KNOW what card will be played, if we take the house, it is another thing to KNOW, the pigs at the trough will use this letter, if there is one, headed into Nov..

I swear..I thought they were smarter than this....

This pigman kav, if confirmed, will ignite an already in the works protests.....right up to NOV....

They're giving it a push to get Dems to vote in the midterm. Republicans already vote in big numbers in the midterms. It's Dems that need motivation. I was glad to hear one after another Dems come out and declare their plans.

And the R internals are dismal so that's why they're racing to get Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS.

They can huff and puff all they want about the Democrats threatening their gang rapist, liar judge. See if they can scrape up a couple more deplorables that are angry about that.

But it will also charge up Democrats, lots of women and I'd hope lots of men, to know that Democrats are going to put their teeth into this. Fight back. That if you vote for them, there will be actual consequences. It will mean something.

are going to be out-smarted, bulldozed and fucking overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, in another basement Committee room, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) will become the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
Expect the subpoenas to be coming out in wheelbarrows and there's nothing Devin Nunes (Traitor-CA) can do about it.

I can hardly wait to hear Adam Schiff (D-CA) say these words to Nunes (traitor-CA):"Hand over my gavel, you asshole."

I get battered all of the time about how meek Dems are. You know what they say when you're deadlifting; proud chest.
I'm fine with talking about impeachment of Kavanaugh and Trump. We are the majority, I'm sick of this being nice to the minority.

A big wave makes a lot of noise when it hits.

Vote the bastards out and impeach the monsters.

Assuming they win the House, the earliest they could call for a hearing would be February, and March or April would be more realistic. That's nearly 5 or 6 months from now.

I'm sure all kinds of shit is going to happen between then and now, the least of which will be Mueller concluding his investigation, hopefully with more than a few bombshells.

to force Republicans to drop this nominee. If they see Dems are serious, and that their shiny new judge will be soon under investigation, and that might eventually lead to impeachment and removal. I think they should also investigate the sexual abuse cases.

It might turn out good for Dems. If Repubs are too dumb or arrogant to drop the nominee, he gets confirmed, and the Dems take the House, and investigation goes past the date the a new Dem house is sitting, impeach, remove, then the Dems don't have to have any new hearings for new SCOTUS justices, hoping to win the Presidency in 2020.

Give no quarter. Attack constantly - most people aren't as political minded as DU'rs
keep his slimy behavior in front of the voters at all times (for the duration of his time on the bench).
If repugs can work up people about Clinton's imaginary wrongdoings - Democrats sure as hell ought to
do the same with BK's actual wrongdoings. Every Democratic poli needs to make Thurs. or Fri.
"Bash BK day."

but it doesn't take 2/3 of anything to indict him for lying to the FBI and Congress and sending him to jail. Dems should hold their investigation and hearings and then refer the evidence to the DOJ for indictment and prosecution. It would only require evidence and a willing DOJ.
