Because she said so?

Collins is a snake. At least rightwingers are open about their principles and will fight for them. Collins has no principles. She does an elaborate kabuki dance pretending to care, and then, without fail, votes in lockstep with McConnell. And then she pretends she was "misled" after the vote.

It's one of the most craven acts I've ever seen in politics, and that's saying something.

I'm not talking bullshit posturing like her ACA repeal votes, where she was given a pass by leadership because the party believed they had enough votes without her. I'm talking a genuine deciding vote.

Either she's prepared to stand by what she claims to believe, or else all her "concern" is nothing but an act, one she has repeated over and over and over.

... that it would take behavior more to the Trump/Kavanaugh end of the spectrum to cause me to call someone a Kabuki dancing snake.

Trump at least has the decency to stare me in the eye as he pisses on my shoe. Collins pretends to be my friend and waits till I turn my back to piss on me, and then when I spin around she denies it was her and tells me it was "some black kid who just ran out the door." That to me is the definition of a snake.
