when Congress makes decisions such as these, I feel like the main consideration is, "can we get away

with it and not have people rioting?"

In some respects, I think that may be one thing that's possibly true as far as "both parties are the same;" it's just that one party's motivation is to promote the general welfare, whereas the other insists only on "freedom" (in the sense of not restricting the sociopaths of the world from inflicting whatever harm they feel like doing in the pursuit of exploiting their fellow humans for fun and profit).

Why all the secrecy? What are they covering up?
