I've been a man(or boy) my entire life. 74+ years worth.
I could NEVER imagine treating girls or women they way some do.

Given that... WHY, Oh WHY should it be necessary for men to actually have to say they support and believe women about.. ANYTHING?

It just boggles my mind.... that this should even have to happen.

On the one side these guys are just normal human beings. no big deal.
On the other side, they are heroes in a sick society...
I guess there are more sick men than I ever thought....

9. My wife has never been "seriously" assaulted.

By that, I mean, no physical damage or violation...nor any lasting psych damage, unless you count an extra measure of disgust for her to carry around.

That being said....she recounted the most serious of the incidents to me, and while this particular one was not The Worst, it was probably the most shocking to me.

When she was about to leave high school, she looked into a career in the military. Apparently, the recruiter had a very bizarre idea of his relationship with potential recruits. He even showed up at her family home.

The upshot was that she never did sign on the bottom line (partially because she wondered just how bad it might get when she had already enlisted and there was no "walking away&quot and her mother raised such a fuss that the schools in the area uninvited military recruiters entirely.

Other than that situation, there were at least a dozen others with various degrees of awful. So, yeah. PLENTY of scum out there.

We’ve all been outraged over the fact that Donald Trump has moved full-steam ahead on his Muslim immigration ban and seperating kids from their parents. If you thought that was bad, then wait ‘til you hear what the Orange Tyrant is doing now.

Donald Trump is now setting his sights on punishing undocumented immigrants and political dissenters in America. Shockingly, Trump just signed a directive to create new camps — concentration camps — where such immigrants and those with differing opinions will be held for deportation or worse.

Anyone else heard of this? I am really scared. Please tell me this isn't true.

35. This is very heartening for me...

to see men come forward and stand up for women. There are so many men here on DU that have spoken so eloquently on behalf of women and that has given me hope too. I am an older woman now and any decisions made in the near future by a Supreme Court that is NOT impartial, will not affect me. But having said that, I still fight for those principles that I have always held to be my truth. There are just some things that I will not compromise on and being truthful is at the top of my list. The fact that a prospective judge lies under oath is enough to show me that he has no business being on any court.

Trump and Kavanaugh are both liars and reprehensible men. There is no doubt about it. How any female Senator can rationalize supporting the two of them is beyond me.

Fuck Susan Collins for not having a moral compass and for selling out. She is a disgrace.
