I think Murkowski is allowed to vote "No" on Kavanaugh because Flake and Collins said they would vote "yes" and that's enough to confirm him.
This allows Murkowski to look good in Alaska (where they hate Kavanaugh).
But her vote means nothing because Kavanaugh can be confirmed anyway.
That's what I think.

If the New Deal advances are overturned as well as Medicare and other programs, it will be dire.
So all these shenanigan deals are true, it's a sin against democracy and humanity.
Which may lead Manchin to vote yes as well.
