Because she has to know that any chance she had of winning in 2020 just went out the window.

She will lose most of her Democratic support here in Maine.

She needs that to survive.

Working from home and was watching MSNBC prior to our long winded worthless speech. The Republican women there were definitely in support of her voting yes - and one clarified that the state was turning from purple to Red.

If you look at where the population is in Maine, southern Maine, that is deep blue. It is the northern part that is red, but they have far less population. Senators have to appeal to whole state though. The majority of this state went for Hillary, but that weird rule we have about splitting the electoral votes by congressional districts allowed Trump to pick up one electoral vote from 2nd district, the red north. Hillary got 3.

Just a guess on my part, but I think her career in the Senate is done. Come 2020 she's looking forward to a $$$$$$ gig on Fox or on K Street.

But her sell-out of American women will live in infamy.
