... the statue gave one year to file charges. Since then it's been changed to "no limit" but it's not retroactive. (That's my understanding anyway. If I'm wrong, I have little doubt that someone will come along to CORRECT ME faster than would have come along to answer your question in the first place... so... win-win, eh?)

She was detained in a locked room against her will, and there is no statute of limitations on kidnapping.
