Women vote more consistently, year after year and there are more women than men in the US.
How we vote, our actions, how we are perceived on issues that matter to women will have much more influence on congressional majorities than how much republican ass we kiss in red or blue states.

And one can hope that Trump's behavior, and the GOP's behavior, will cause a significant portion of those women to rethink their support for the GOP and Trump.
What I should have written is that 52% of white women who voted, voted for Trump.

(14,565 posts)This site is great to check the trends by demographic:
https://www.civiqs.com/results/approve_president_trump?annotations=true&net=false&uncertainty=true&gender=Female&race=White
The white female bracket is clear cut because age is the deciding variable:
* White females 18-34 disapprove 62-33
* White females 35-49 disapprove 54-43
* White females 50 and older approve 52-45
Unfortunately, the older ones are far more likely to vote in November

Like a dirty sock: it stinks.
It gives the wrong impression, it was 52% of the white women that voted, which is a very different number than all white women in the US

(14,565 posts)From typically 53% in presidential years to 51-51.5% in midterms
That is one basic reason we don't do as well in midterms. Young single women, in particular, tend to stay home.
Obviously we need the opposite trend this year, but the long term trends normally hold. I won't believe women as 53% this year until it happens.
