and needed only a replay of the video and not a (bogus) FBI investigation. It couldn't be hidden, disguised or mischaracterized. It was right out there for everyone to witness. And whether or not he assaulted Dr. Ford, he can't pretend he didn't lie.

I heard someone on MSNBC saying that when I walked by the other day but didn't get his name.

The Republicans were more than happy to keep the focus on the woman and all the "corroboration" business so they didn't have to address the elephant in the room -- his lies under oath. This should not have been presented as one woman (Ford) versus everyone else. It all should have been about his lies and lying under oath, all provable.

Everyone dissected Ford's testimony and were free to riff on whatever they believed or didn't believe. It was perfect fodder for the "confused" mantra they are spewing, including Collins -- they are just sure something bad happened to Ford, but it wasn't Kavanaugh. Where did they get that?? Just pulled it out of thin air. They were free to counter her in that manner. This is a travesty.

4. Here is my interpretation of the OP

However, the Republicans knew that there wasn't going to be anyone to corroborate Dr. Ford's testimony. Hell the only one who could is Mark Judge. For him to come out and say, "Yes I was an accessory to sexual assault, I knew was not going to happen.

The investigation was a farce, to begin with. From that point on, the optics should have been laser-focused on his perjury to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Let the investigation play out as the farce it was. I don't think the OP is saying that we also shouldn't be reminded every day of the accusations, or in the news. I think he is saying that the optics should have changed.

That's my guess OP, lemme know if I'm wrong.

9. Wouldn't have changed anything. The majority of the Senate are liars and deplorable.

It was a good fight, but a right winger was going to get appointed in any event. It was predictable when people decided what they were going to do in November 2016.
