Elizabeth McCord gives a speach on Naitonalism and how it differs from patriotism. Her speech is a big smack in the face to Trump and the Rethugs.

(206,072 posts)POTUS is a very exclusive club. LBJ got advice from Eisenhower. Jimmy Carter only had Ford and Nixon and Ford was helpful in advising him on dealing with Congress. George HW Bush used the resources of the Carter Center. And of course Jimmy Carter, with his background in nuclear engineering, negotiated with North Korea on behalf of the Clinton administration. Any successor to Obama couldn't do better than calling on his expertise and experience, but of course Trump instead chooses to attempt to undo all that Obama accomplished to help the American people.
