Madeleine Albright, Hillary Clinton and Colin Powell

all on Madam Secretary. It really makes the Trump administration bad. A fictional Secretary of State seeks advise from prior Secretaries of State. That is something Trump would never do.

Elizabeth McCord gives a speach on Naitonalism and how it differs from patriotism. Her speech is a big smack in the face to Trump and the Rethugs.

I have stayed away from the news shows this weekend because I just couldn't stand to watch it after the Kavanaugh debacle.

Well here's part of Colin Powell. It's worth watching to see his analysis.

POTUS is a very exclusive club. LBJ got advice from Eisenhower. Jimmy Carter only had Ford and Nixon and Ford was helpful in advising him on dealing with Congress. George HW Bush used the resources of the Carter Center. And of course Jimmy Carter, with his background in nuclear engineering, negotiated with North Korea on behalf of the Clinton administration. Any successor to Obama couldn't do better than calling on his expertise and experience, but of course Trump instead chooses to attempt to undo all that Obama accomplished to help the American people.

Presidents as diametrically opposed as Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan knew that the Russian governments were not our friends - as did every school kid who was forced to participate in drills, hiding in the school basement or cowering under their desks.
