More harm or more good? (Ford/Kavanaugh)

In the end will Christine Blassey Ford have broken a huge barrier and caused women and girls to speak up, to not feel ashamed, for goodness sake? Or will more women and girls see what happened in the Kavanaugh hearings and have their fears confirmed that no one (not enough people, not the right people) will believe them?

Or is it a wash?
