Fresno. I said "I hope you two don't vote for Nunes."
She messages me and asks "why don't you like him?" I asked "you really don't know?"
I said he is Trump's lap dog and has stopped the Houses's Russian investigation.
She then tells me her union endorses Nunes. She is a special ed teacher for Christ sake.
I told her to do some research on line about Nunes.
I asked her why does her union like him? I got no answer.
Once before they got married (they have been together for 30 years) I asked them "doesn't it bother you that you do not have the same right to marry as your sister and me? again no answer.
They are typical low information voters.

(14,967 posts)Perhaps there are teachers unions out there who would endorse Nunes, but based on Republican education policies it doesn't make much sense for them to do so.

(1,907 posts)Might want to explain THAT plan to her. Or the plan to lock them up because they are gay? I have a gay friend too, who is a repub. Cannot figure out why she votes for them. But, I've never had that conversation with her either...

(4,516 posts)I don't try to get them to talk about it and they wouldn't if I did.
They asked me to be the witness on their marriage certificate so I am close to them.

(2,091 posts)teachers' union endorsing a republican't. It certainly can't be the NEA or the AFT.
