But not all gun owners are gun nuts. My dad has a few guns (a shotgun and two rifles I believe) but he’s as liberal as can be, hates the NRA, and is for fairly strict gun control. He’s embarrassed by gun humpers and won’t associate with them.

Also here in New Mexico, many Hispanics own guns to hunt with and they are, by and large, good Democrats.
