Speaking of "mobs"...

I can recall back in 2010 when Tea Party Republicans would go to Obama rallies with semi-automatic or fully-automatic weapons strapped on their backs, including AR-15s and M-16s.

Of course, no one felt threatened by those people.

Direct threats of violence - with guns.

With his talk of division and his uncanny ability to not know when to shut the hell up.

Some assembly required." That was the one that made my blood boil.

I went to a "congress on your Corner" event with my then Congressperson, Gabby Giffords... 2009 I think. They had a line form along a entry wall at the local Safeway... they provided chairs because many of the people were elderly. This meant that we all "moved up a chair" every time the line moved. There were also a number of these AR-15 gun nuts with their "Don't tread on me" flags. After moving a few times up the line... a guy two chairs behind me moved and a handgun (revolver) fell out of his pocket and hit the linoleum floor. We were so lucky that the gun didn't fire. It caused quite a stir with everyone nearby and there was a security guard who had a few words with the idiot that dropped the gun.

A little over a year later she was shot and a number of other people murdered at a very similar event.
