2. There comes a time when you have to cut your losses and refocus your spending.

Republicans have been doing it throughout the country in races that they decided are just unwinnable, pulling all funding and funneling it to more competitive races. I'm not saying Heidi is dead in the water, but the last few polls that have come out have her trailing by double digits with less than a month to go.

The time is getting close where the DNC will have to make a choice: Keep financially supporting her even though her odds are looking extremely bleak, or pull the financial support of her and give it to people like McCaskill and Nelson who are in statistical dead heats.
