I suspect that most--even all--of us completely understand your incredulity and sense of bewilderment and despair.

Personally, I've lost all respect for the citizenry that amasses at these hate fests, chants "lock her up" (while pretending to be flag-waving freedom lovers in what has become a police state), and laughs uproariously as the mouthpiece of all that is worst in humanity spews fear and evil, insults and ridicule and lies so loathsome and in defiance of any semblance of human decency or civility.
