(32,639 posts)How did Kushner receive the intel, how did he deliver it, and who directed him to do it?
How many other times has this happened?
Who else in the Trump administration has access to the same intel?

(1,990 posts)First, in the oldest manuscripts, the number is 660, not 666. Ancient Romans had a system where a name could be translated into a number (I don't remember the scheme, but it is well-known among scholars). That way, you could write about someone without fear of being accused of saying bad things about some particular person. If you apply that system to Nero, you get: 660.

(9,729 posts)Count Pierre Bezuhov got "l'empereur Napoleon" to equal 666, and then got the same result by mangling his name as "l'russe Bezuhov."

Mel Gibson's (sorry) masterwork, "Apocalypto," has a similar theme, but with broader implications. I just re-watched it recently, and it is more brutal and stunning than ever.
