26. Amazing yes, but not as unusual as some might think. I have had a lot of cats and foster cats

over my lifetime, and there have been more than a few who have been very empathic, some who have been very clever, and nearly all have been loving. A few love water!

Cats get an undeserved bad rap by many non-cat people. I know you aren't saying this, but I've had a lot of non-cat people friends and visitors over time who are surprised at how sweet cats can be.

was a Maine Coon. I go through bouts of absolutely crippling depression and anxiety and having him next to me (that cat was my shadow) made life just bearable enough for me to struggle through another day.

Ten years on I still tear up when I think of him.
