they say the definition of "insane" is when you keep trying the same thing, it doesn't work, and you just keep doing it.
folks, we have seen this before, going back at least to Bush.
i've seen enough polls at this point and I know people are PISSED.
if the dems don't take the house, i'm sorry, it was stolen. period.
does anyone think the refucklicans are just going to sit back and let it happen?
they have the ways and the means to mess with our election system in many ways.
If it is stolen again, what do we do this time? Just try again in 2 more years?
NOW BEFORE you FLAME me for discouraging people from voting, STOP.
EVERYONE SHOULD VOTE!
WAIT IN THOSE LONG LINES!
DO **EVERYTHING** YOU CAN!
MAKE SURE ALL YOUR FRIENDS ARE VOTING!
DRIVE YOUR GRANDPARENTS TO THE POLLS!
GO ONLINE AND GET INTO POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS!
MAKE SURE ALL YOUR FACEBOOK FRIENDS ARE VOTING!
CALL YOUR LOCAL DEM PARTY AND VOLUNTEER TO HELP!
MAKE PHONE CALLS!
DO ALL OF THAT!
there. i am not saying we shouldn't do all that.
what i'm saying is, we have done all that before.
my question is, what happens if we do all that again, and it appears clear that it was stolen again?
then what?

(9,942 posts)if you attach from several angles, like purging voter rolls, social media crap, voting machines, .... you can have a major affect on the results.

(9,654 posts)candidates that will take the states to court to examine the software of both the machines and the reporting sites
with the sc being all repub now it is a stretch to think that will work but I think its what we have left
voting in over whelming numbers does make it harder to steal

(7,888 posts)NO, you stop spreading this negative poop and worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes. Until then, the "what" is work to GOTV like your welfare depends on it.

And the what is not only GOTV. The obvious answer is, if you are in one of those states where the Russians have been rummaging around in the voting system, you become your reps worst nightmare stalker until they tell you what they are going to do to protect your vote.
Putting your head in the sand is not a good idea.

(3,975 posts)for almost a decade...I have little hope the blue wave will hit here...Our Assembly is over 2/3 R, our Gov and Court corrupted. In 2016 they actually threw out early ballots. One reason I will never early vote again.

(3,115 posts)They're prepared to do many more sinister things, you can be sure. If things aren't looking good for them before Nov. 6, you can expect plenty of widespread fraud, impossible voter requirements and hell -- even armed guards at polling places to scare people away especially legal immigrants who have the right to vote and people or color.

(1,997 posts)to use broad authority to discount some votes and "lose" others.
Those same repubs who have been given positions of power are very susceptible to bribes...and we've seen how easy it is to simply change the memory cards in many of the voting machines.
I agree with the OP, the opposition has lied, cheated and stolen to gain the power they now have. It makes no sense that they will now sit back and "let democracy take it's course".

(7,813 posts)fate of 40 years of their planning to concentrate wealth and power to mere usa midterm elections. Many wealthy thumbs are on the scale.
Dems talked about election integrity a lot after 2000 and 2004...petitions, basement hearings, lots of press. Then after 2009 when something could be done, nothing. Didn't see proposed bills, gop on record filibustering reform, didn't see hearings and investigations. That was a chance to take a shot at reform.

(9,524 posts)stole 2004. It was nearly impossible to get anyone in the Dem party or the media to take the theft seriously back then, with the exception of Keith Olbermann. Even after senator Boxer and the Congressional BLack Causus in the house challenged the results before the confirmation of the electoral votes. Many more are aware now, and we have things like Stacy ABrams going on Daily Show and talking about voter suppression, and Russian influence alll over the media, and lots of talk about Kris Kobach and Crosscheck, although many states are still using it. So there is much more awareness, but i still don't know what we do about it.
