(19,118 posts)That's how they've already framed it, we have to cut Social Security and Medicare to make them sustainable and save them for future generations.
It's a total lie. Social Security needs to be strengthened by taking the cap off the income FICA is counted against. Strengthen it and increase the benefits.

(25,272 posts)What is Trump's definition of protect Social Security and Medicare?
I'll go out on a limb here. I think he and the Repugs have a different definition of what 'resolutely defending' means.

(11,885 posts)To destroy Medicaid, Medicare, and all health care, and have set there sights on destroying Social Security , and have already made little changes hurting it, and plan to really hurt it and everyone who gets it. Seniors should realize he claimed he would give us better health care , what he did was the opposite, and he and the GOP voted and passed their tax scam bill which took health care away from millions, and it will just get worse. Just like now with this failing economy they'll (trump and his gop minions) will not be truthful just like W Bush did and say its ok. Its not and failing, and just a matter of time they can prop it up or hide that fact any longer. Between Social Security, and all these policies designed to enrich the wealthy, and destroy the middle class and the poor just to transfer huge sums to the wealthy. trump will not tell you the truth, he'll lie, they want to take Social Security away from seniors, and prevent others from getting it any way they can now, and will lie through their teeth conning people into thinking the opposite of the truth , again. Its almost like trump is trying to create another depression for putin. HE's not on OUR side.

(22,171 posts)to use later on now when this information is branded against them? They can't say much now...and what's so hypocritical about this whole thing is that all of us paid for these benefits ourselves via our ongoing SS / medicare / etc. taxes. We paid for these benefits already.
