House bill #1 is usually a procedural bill, so I grant you it isn't the correct number. But the first bill the new congress should pass is a voting rights bill.

Symbolic, to be sure. But what better symbolism for a new majority to take?

I think the gop's opening bill was repeal of aca. Hmm, taking away healthcare vs assuring democracy.

Due to Nader, the voting rights act's pre-clearance provisions were gutted. I will never forgive Nader for being an arrogant idiot
