(11,795 posts)I took this photo last Christmas Eve, when I visited a childhood friend I hadn't seen in 20 years. She took me to Stirling for a half-day trip (she lives in Glasgow). We were trudging through the cemetery and I looked back and just sort of like the light I saw.
Thanks for picking it, because as always, every photo entered is pretty spectacular!

(18,638 posts)A bright sunny day wold never have worked, but in this clouded golden hour image I almost expect a bolt of lightning to add to the macabre setting. Nice catch and well deserved win.
I notice the markers seem to get larger as they spread toward the outer borders, as if each new internment tried to outdo the previous graves.
